THE LEGEND OF CIGARENG VILLAGE

Since yore Dusun Cigareng have the shape of a ghostlike dale. Grove of the shape of big wood, high, and has took root sucker. Kinds of cane are seen over there. Cane circumlocutary worm wood tree. Big Cane stick outs above crotch. The end of its curve twist bough very strong.

Of course when referred here were much forest animals. Tuh, above tree kiara, much monkeys, ape, and oa rocks. The pposite above orchard was often heard voice multitude wolf howls. Also python, stripe snake, and green snake frequently has a nest. Its conclusion this dale very endangers.



In eastside there was teureup tree. In the afternoon was heard fox voice. Field fox and fox month be each other voice. Man that was firstly choped down this dale named Mad Rais.


When started chops down this village, Mad Rais asked permission beforehand at the ancestors. As according to procedures opened an orchard at the time. Mad Rais turned on incense, incense fragrance fulfilled all dale. Then , started cut away a tree. Hhh… very slowgoing to cut a tree, though only one trees. If it was cut away stringent, can be destroy dagger or axe. More than anything else tree which have been stripper, generates sound if we cut away. It was almost looks like enau tree.

After around two weekly, Mad Rais successfully choped down some clumps bamboo gereng. Over and over, all of gereng bamboo tree had been chopped down. Ex- growing the gereng bamboo clumps was smoothed down and compacted. So became a plain, which rather wide to be made a village. In the end people built wooden house.

After becoming a village, dale ex- clump bamboo gereng became multitude. Unhappily, it has just some rooves only. Because it has not called, Mad Rais invited all his family for having deliberation. All of them agree to village build in ex- gereng wood clump was named Cigareng.
